Extensions

I’ve been invited by the city of Brugge to present my work in the collective exhibition “Cité” gathering 10 young Flemish and Walloon artists (but the border remains difficult to draw as we are all somehow emigrants…). This show is taking place in Les Anciens Abattoirs in Mons, a gigantic space where meat was cut into pieces and now entirely dedicated to art (whether artists are literally replacing the pigs is not known yet, I’ll keep you updated).

I will present a new version of Extensions, previously shown in Zebrastraat (version 1.0) and the B-Gallery (version 1.0) in Brussels. This time, the installation will bring face to face the black-box with projection and flash-lights, and a projection on painting. This last part has been upgraded with some programming (Processing) during the Code, Arts & Crafts workshops organized by iMAL in Brussels. The animation is more organic and works as a close system independent from the interaction with the flash-lights.
